On Thursday, Feb 28th 2019 I presented the planning sheet for my Main OB scheduled to take place on the 11th of May, 2019. The presentation held at Cloudbass HQ with Justin and Terry in attendance.
The presentation discussed all aspects of the OB in highlighting essential areas like truck parking, camera plan, cable route, rigging, camera and sound schedules, risk assessments and the health and safety information all these demonstrated the level of planning and preparation so far regarding the OB.
After the presentation which lasted for about 16mins, Justin and Terry had the opportunity to ask questions and also to provide suggestions on areas that may need a bit of consideration.
One of the recommendations from Justin was to make it more explicit in the planning sheet that only two break-out multi-boxes will be required because the cable schedules seem to suggest four.
From the planning sheet, it was deduced that we would need a Generator operator who will act as the power supervisor on site.
Another recommendation from both Justin and Terry was to change the arrival time of the camera crew and also to adjust the time for the FACS Checks. Technically as a rule of thumb, FACS checks are done at least two hours before the start, this allows enough time to fix and sort out another issue that may arise.
We also discussed having a raised platform for CAM1 and CAM 2. The suggested height for the raised platform is between 500-700mm. We will use a Modular Platform system to achieve this, I will speak to Ben about using the one owned by the university.
